Common nouns for yarn

1. Yarn twist - the number of twists per unit length. There are Z twist and S twist;

2. Carding (carding) - the yarn that is spun by only one end of the carding machine during the spinning process;

3. Combing - the yarn combed by the comber at both ends of the fiber during the spinning process has less impurities and the fiber is more straight;

4. Blended yarn - a yarn formed by mixing two or two fibers of different properties;

5. Yarn count - an indicator used to indicate the fineness of yarn, mainly including inch count, metric count, special count, and denier;

6. Single yarn - the product coming out directly from the spinning frame, it will spread out once untwisted, referred to as yarn;

7. Strands - two or more yarns are twisted together, referred to as threads;

8. Sewing thread - a general term for thread products used for sewing garments and other sewing products;

9. New type of spinning - Compared with the new type of spinning method of traditional ring spinning, one end of the spinning process is the free end, such as open-end spinning, friction spinning, etc. The yarn has no twist, but is entangled.
